It just occured to me today. I never did anything with my filler neck when I body lifted. I just assumed it would flex or whatever. Do they crack? Do you have to extend them?...maybe thats why I get crappy mileage! :icon_twisted: Haha

I didn't either....I had enough slack in mine though...

On my 99, it had to be extended, no travel in it at all, i figure the older fillers are more flexible or designed a little longer? beats me. I can guarantee you get crappy mileage because if i remember right you have 3.73s and 33s :icon_rofl:

Yes they do crack. Yes they do flex a little, but they crack and rip. I just replaced mine this past week. Mine was spewing gas at fillup.
Ford stealership wanted $449 for the filler tube.. got mine off ebay for $33.95 new.

So I should check it..and if I get a new one I should extend it? Or can you get extended ones already? Maybe thats how I'm losing gas! :icon_twisted:

hahaha that truck sounds like a dogggg.

3.73's + 33" tires + the fact that one each corner I'm turning like...95 pounds makes it the doggiest dog that ever dogged. I lost a race to a Cavalier :bawling: I really gotta lower my rotational mass haha. I'm sure that would help mileage as well

My filler tube is cracked I put duck tape on it for now cause the dealer wants 135 for a new one I have no bl though but go to a farm dealer and get the length you need and make your own

So theres nothing special to them? I guess on the ends...but i could probably cut it in half and add a couple inches of hose right?

Pull the top part out and the bottom part get same size hose from a farm dealer or tsc or a farm fleet make sure it's a good pressure hose and piece a new one together

Why not just relocate the filler neck? Hell high enough lift you can just bolt it to the bottom of the pannel.:icon_rofl:
