whats the stupidest thing youve done in your ranger?

rolled mine into a tree then had to get pulled out of it. she still doesnt look the same since

try it when its wet out man, should work, does in my danga ranga! :headbang:

Drifter's use that technique to go from lock to lock quickly, and it's really a personal preference of the driver even in that case.

If you're in a skid situation, keep both hands on the wheel and steer out of it. Otherwise, you're just wasting time

Umm... well... lol when i first got my license i bought my truck just after. Was driving around in it and decided it would be cool to drift around this corner on dry pavement. Just a normal residential corner with very little traffic. But i was a new driver and effed it up. So i over compensated... then again lmao... and barely got control before i hit the poll.. and then barely missed the car...

Safe to say i wasnt doing that again at least in town lol

Also another stupid thing i regret was last fall was driving around and it was raining and just starting to freeze a bit. My truck had just got the muffler put on so it roared. Was driving home with my brother and of course i beat my mom (couldnt park untill she did). So i desided to go to a empty part of town and drift around in the rain. Nothing bad happened, but it was with my 8 year old brother and i would have kicked myself if something did.

Now im just stupid for racing around for my job doing deliveries lol :icon_rofl:

The most stupid thing I have ever done was get out of my truck to walk a girl (a friend at the time with potential interest) I drove home to her apartment after a party only to be seduced by her, make out for well over 30 minutes, have her lead me on then the next day she says I forced it all on her and that she never wants to speak to me again. Bitch.

well the dumbest thing ive ever done would be

the 86 i sold, but was able to buy it back for less than i sold it for so it was fine. i also tried to teach someone to drive a stick in it, he didnt want to listen to me and thats how i found out a 23year old ranger with a 2.0l will still do a burnout.

the 88 ex-cab ran it about 7 miles with no anti freeze after it blew a lower radiator hose, it was a 2.9l but i somehow managed to not crack the heads and drove for awhile afterwards.
i also let mom drive to work on a snowy day and she hit a patch of black ice and hit mailbox doing about 50mph sideways and destroyed the bedside. she got lucky because as she went across the road she missed 2 hude ditches by less than 2 feet, and if she would have hit one of them she would have rolled it.

the 88 BII i ran it 3 miles with no antifreeze after blowing a freeze plug. it had water in the oil so i bought a fullsize dodge van, worst decision ever, later found out it was just an intake gasket so fixed it and drove it for awhile then was forced to sell it.

I'd have to say the dumbest thing that's ever happened to me and my ranger was when I was helping a friend pick up some parts at the local bone yard for her cavalier.

Had the parts in the box and was heading back down the road(which i've never really traveled before). There was a small crest in the road...probably 10 feet high with a flat top on it.

Didn't see the "speed bump" on the other side of the flat top until it was too late.

Hit it doing 50...front end went up...I hit the brakes....back tires hit it and shot the front end down. For a second I was looking straight down at the road through the windshield. Then the rear end came down...HARD!

All the parts stayed in the box tho!

Got home and noticed that the truck was sagging a bit to one side. Got underneath it and noticed that both leaf packs were split in 2 between the U-bolts!

Went to price out new leaf packs at Regional Spring(local spring shop) and they wanted $800 for 2 new leaf packs!!!!!

So that's when I went out and bought the lowering kit. 2 inch front and 4 inch rear.
