Well as it sits right now I have a 2'' BL and 31'' tires. I want to run 33s with zero clearance issues. What my question is what lift to get. I want a 3-4 inch lift I dont really want to go higher.

One thing I was wondering is if the skyjacker classII would be worth the extra$$ right now. As far as I see the biggest addition to the II is the radius arms. I use my truck for DD, camping, trails and light to moderate wheeling. Is it worth it for the class II right now or should I go with the cheaper version and upgrade the components later?

Could someone please offer me some opinions and lift options? Thanks

I would say the Skyjacker kit is WELL WORTH THE MONEY. Its comprehensive, durable and everything just works.

Let me tell you how I went about lifting my truck as representative of what NOT to do for two reasons: more time was spent then should have, AND more money was spent than should have been.

I bought a 4" Tuff Country kit for 850, plus shocks and pitman arm and alignment, total: $1050.

Two months later I decided I wanted and needed extended radius arms: ran me 650 from Skyjacker, and another 8hrs of work, and another alignment, total: $750.

Thats $1900 just for long arms and lift kit and two alignments. and four days of my life that were spent basically doing the same work twice (i dont regret it tho, it helps people like you:headbang:).

Then I decided 4" wasn't tall enough and bought coilspacers, and AAL's and blocks, and longer shocks to be at 6". Another $350 including another alignment.

Total where I stand today lift wise: $2250 not including misc little stuff. And I still dont have the small stuff the skyjacker kit came with like brakelines and bumpstops.

Even tho you "think" a 4" kit will be tall enough, it won't be so spend another 200 and get the 6" kit you WONT regret it, because in all reality 33's fit better anyway with 6" and its only human to "always want to go taller".

I can personally, and highly recommend Skyjacker products, they are bullet proof and accurate. And while they may seem to be more expensive at first, they are actually cheaper in the long run as you'll be doing a few less alignments and wasting less time trying to make cheesy brackets work and doing things once instead of twice, or three times.

Thats my story (and opinion) and I'm stickin' to it. Take it or leave it that is what I would advise against doing. Its your truck do whatever suits you, but keep what I've said in mind. It could save you some $$$ and time.

Then again its all fun to me tho working on my truck and working to support my offroad habit so I dont "regret" doing what I did, but if I can help someone save time and money, so they can further their projects and spend more time on the trails, then I will. Thanks sorry for the long post.............................

if you already have the 2 inch body lift the 4 inch kit wll be good enough for 33's....and if you have the money...long arms are the way to go

While we are on the subject......

I've got a 2-3" body lift, and I'm planning on putting a 6" skyjacker lift in.

Will I be able to fit 35's under it or will I have to stick with 33's?

i have a three inch body lift and a four inch suspension lift on my 1984 ranger, there is enough room to maybe even stuff 35's but if you need the flex there is enough suspension travel to get the flex you need.
