hey ranger station members, i own a 97 ranger and need to replace the clutch. i know this for a fact. But, not quite sure which is BEST OE replacement. "Centerforce" stood out above the rest, to me, anyone with suggestions for which is the best clutch for a stock 4.0L 4X4 ???

Best in what way? Under normal driving use, nothing (Centerforce or otherwise) improves over the basic inexpensive clutch kits out there. If you are looking for something for drag racing applications, etc, then the answer would be different.

yeah i would say general daily driving... but i plan to put on some minor bolt-ons later of course... exhaust, intake, things of that nature though i would like a well performing, quality clutch with the capabilities of small towing and of course that casual drive through some mud holes and backwood trails.

It doesn't sound like you'd get any benefit at all from a heavier clutch.

It'll help if you're having trouble with the clutch slipping after you take your foot off, but that's not exactly a common problem (unless you've worn completely through the clutch material).
