Whats the beef with step sides

Why get a 2wd? My ranger and explorer have same drivetrain minus the 4x4 in the explorer. Ranger goes 400 miles on a tank, explorer goes 200 on a tank. That's a big benefit of 2wd. Also, driving you wheeler sucks. Still gotta get to work on monday.

BTW, im lowering the 2wd in spring. I bet you just hate that....

If I ever got into wheeling I'd go the route of getting an older 4x4 for cheap. You got the right idea

I take my 4x4 off roading and it's pretty much stock ( just put some beefer tires on it ). I just know what it can and can not do.I also do not push my luck in it.

Hey guys its just my opinion, 2wd is ****ing pointless off road i mean real offroad not some logging road while its raining.

Again. Most Rangers are 2 wheel drive till 4x4 is engaged so in essence you are driving a 2 wheel drive 99% of the time.

I wanted to write something else, but I'm trying to be nice... I don't need the admin giving me a time-out, lol.

yeah same here, were discussing bed types and he starts bashing 2WD, this guy should be in the pointless thread for sure
