whats my cap worth?

Im trying to figure out how much my truck cap is worth so I can sell it. Its an A.R.E. high top one for a 93-97, paint is perfect. Ive tried pricing them out on craigslist but prices are all over the place. thanks guys

I also have a ladder rack. just a basic one, no idea what I should ask for it. thanks

I would say $300ish Maybe say $350 to give yourself room to negotiate.

Try calling some places that sells them new and ask if they would buy it from you. I put mine on Craigslist for $350 and had a "cap" dealer call me and said they would buy it from me at that price. I went there and ended up doing and even trade on a brand new hard toneau with a little damage that they could not get rid of. Was the right color too.

I had a cap that I could not sell for over a year on craigslist, I brought it to a cap place they took it on consignment, they sold it for more than I was asking on craigslist, in about a month. I was asking $350, they priced it so I would get $350 after there commission.

I sold a fiberglass cap off a nissan that fit my ranger for 200. Probably could have gotten more, but my brother needed the money and it was his cap.

It needed new paint and the metal pieces were rusted.

hmm the only problem i see is it doesnt have clamps, it is bolted right to the bed. hows this going to affect it?

what'd you guys think on the ladder rack? like $50? i dont think its worth all that much but i dont really know. thanks

I might have a set of clamps. If I can find them $25 shipped.

I think you could prolly get $100 for the ladder rack if its in good shape.

I got mine for 150 its a sportsman with sliding side windows, and it came with 4 c-clamps, I'd say go higher than you think, pics would help

I paid $50 for mine sitting with a sign on it on some guys lawn, a fiberglass hi-rise version. Currently on kijiji for $400obo w/ backup camera installed.....
