I am looking at getting a 6inch kit for my 92 ranger and I want the extended arms now my question is which arms are better and longer
how much longer are the duff arms than stock skyjackers are 15 inches longer.
which gives more articulation the bushing style skyjacker arms or the hiem style duff arms

I have duffs, I like them but if I were you I'd just build my own. I coulda done that and would of defianatly been cheaper.

i ran the superlift extended arms...built like chassis rails. id recommend those

My Superlift arms broke after 8 months.

I would recommend Skyjacker. I've only ever seen one failure on a SJ arm, which appeared to be caused by a bolt left loose.

Duff arms are not near as popular as SJ, yet I've seen two of them fail in the middle.

As for flex with a heim vs. bushing, not a damn bit of difference between them if you're running stiff TTB lift coils, the coils won't let it move that far.
If you run Jeep or early Bronco coils, then the difference may be slight (in favor of the heim), although probably still not worth the extra maintenance needed on a rig that sees a lot of street miles.

That's the problem I have with the duff's. They should have left the donut bushings on there. Their old kits had them.

Heims are ok for a pure off-roader, but on a weekend warrior, not the best.

My vote would to be weld your own up like 4x4junkie did on his BII. Extend them with 2" .250 wall DOM tube using the stock arms. This would be the best way, if you're handy with a welder. But if you don't trust your skills, or don't have a welder (like me), you can always have a local metal shop weld them up for you.

ALOT better than laying $600 down, IMO.

The Superlift is a great arm, if you beef up the tabs a bit:

We have ran both Duff and SJ Longarms and prefer the entire Duff Kit, we did crack a duff arm, but the Bronco was being drove like a tuff truck everyday catching 2-5 ft of air repeatly, and they made it right with us for minimal cost to get another and not even weld it up., Duff kit comes with new spring tower mounts that are built very well.
