I am in need of replacing my exhaust on my 1999 Ford Ranger, it is a 4X4 with the 4.0L in it. I was wondering if any of you guys knew what a good aftermarket exhaust was, i was looking for a nice deep tone at idle and at speed.
I have looked online and saw a bunch of Gibson's exhaust systems, are these loud? I dont really mind if they are loud but i dont want them to sound like a fricken honda. Because i have heard some that do and they sound like chit.

Any info is greatly appreciated

thanks!

i liked my dynomax on my 2.3L. great rumble sound. cheap, i think it was $125?

its all about personal opinion really, i have flowmaster 40, my roommate has the dual set up with his ranger, just get it installed correctly, i have seen some shops just hack that shit in their and not do a very good job.

Either Magnaflow or Gibson. Magnaflow generally costs more. I just put a Gibson system on my Sport Trac and it sounds good on the outside but is pretty loud inside the truck.
