Ok so looks like the shock on the left rear of my ranger is on the way out does anyone kno of a good quality shock that is relatively inexpensive? The truck is lifted looks to be about 2.5 or 3in previous owner did it thanks in advance

i have a set of el cheepo shocks from advance...they work for me

I'm running the cheap 17 dollar monroe Light truck shocks. They work perfectly fine.

Ok cool thanks guys for all the input im on a tight budget these days thanks to student loans lol

Shock choice depends on what you do. Off road, daily driver?

I run skyjackers on my Jeep with 3" lift and 33" 12.5 tires, which is a daily driver. They are smoother than Ranchos. But,many people I know run Rancho 9000s for the adjustment. You can make them as smooth as you want for driving or stiff for off road. But they are pricey. I've never really tested them but I've heard a few complaints with Ranchos and OME with turngin capability not being as good as others off road. That could be a big problem with a Bronco or something similar.

I use it for both off-road and DD use. On road smoothness doesn't matter really to me Ive driven ultra stiff sports car suspension to the scary rolling AMC Eagle lol I usually drive by myself on the road so don't worry about passenger comfort

omg ya...student loans... my teacher said her masters, she wont be able to pay off before she dies lol. graduate and claim bankruptcy lol. i went with i guess you can say mid range shocks. pro comp es9000. they ride good. just doesnt like train tracks slow, i have to hit em at 50 and jump, its fun.

ya loans suck my old college actually SUED me for not paying them. I only went one semester. Hmmmm jumping train tracks tho sounds fun. I usually ride with my EX when I have someone in the truck and she loves a truck to be a truck not smooth like a caddy guess I should try to get her back sounds like a keeper huh? lol

unless shes sleeping with the devil, then you dont want her. omg i need to get a storm trooper helmet and go riding around town till i get pulled over.

i told her brother were both getting motorcycles and im gonna chase him, hell wear darth vader ill be storm trooper

im not gonna buy a bike anymore but i was telling him that. i just wanna do the helmet thing now to see peoples reaction when i pull up next to them and turn my head haha.
