As I said in a different thread:
Anything is possible with a welder and a sawzall!
seems like it would be easier to buy the cab from a mexican ranger out of a mexican junkyard and bring it back on a flatbed, cut the back half of the mexican cab off and weld it to your murikan front half of the cab.
Wouldn't it just be easier to swap the cab altogether rather than go through the trouble of welding and fabbing it together?seems like it would be easier to buy the cab from a mexican ranger out of a mexican junkyard and bring it back on a flatbed, cut the back half of the mexican cab off and weld it to your murikan front half of the cab.

except the part where it's illegal, sure.
You're looking at 2nd gen explorers. 96-2000 (maybe 01?)
The bodies changed ever so slightly in 99 so you might want to just do 96-98.. That's what I'd do. Plus they're easier to come by.
There's a guy on explorerforum.com that has 20 or so 2nd gen explorers that he parts out... Parts are cheap, I've bought from him before.
