I've got a '99 Ranger with the 60/40 split & center console and I need to replace the passenger seat. . .

. . .what year Rangers used the same seats?

I saw the post in the Tech Library that gave seats from other vehicles. . .but wanted to know about compatibility and same looks between Ranger years.

Thanks!

Ranger seats

aj23: if you hear anything, would be thrilled if you could share. am needing to replace seats in a '90 Ranger and want to know the options/possibilities.

thanks, rita

Anything can fit if you got a drill, bolts, and gorilla glue :)

well from what ive seen, the 60/40 setas went from 90 to 97 without mayor changes than fabric, now from 98-03 the armrest brackets were improved, so if ur looking to fix that common isue, thats a good way to go. from 04(i think) to present they went with bigger seats(taller) and since 2010 i think the passenger seat has ain integrated airbag switch.

all the seats would be interchangeable, since the tracks and floors havent had any changes since 90, at least not that i would notice.

when i put 96 explorer limited seat in my 87 just had to use my old tracks and i went from 60/40 to buckets.
its really easy

Thanks guys. . .I thought that I could use pretty much any of them, but I just wanted to make sure.

Found a passenger seat from a '93 that I will grab, just wanted to make sure it would fit before I spent money on it.

98-up are basically a bolt in.

Anything 1997 or earlier would not fit directly without drilling, welding, and lots of aspirin.
