What would cause all of these codes?

It's a 99 auto 2wd ranger.

They are p0133, p0153, p1131, p1132, p0171.

I just replaced the intake gaskets about a month ago and the front two O2 sensors are newer.

Thanks: Steve

I would check the heater fuse for your O2 sensors.

I assume these are 4 wire sensors so have a heating element built-in.
Check to make sure the wires have not shorted or been melted.

An O2 sensor can't work under 600deg, the chemical detection can't take place.
So the O2 sensor is ignored during warm up, heaters were added to speed up the process.

If your engine is running cooler than "normal" then thermostat make be stuck open, causing similar codes.

Remember to unhook the neg. battery terminal for a few minutes to reset the computer.

What engine model is in the 1999 Ranger?

Ill have to check the fuse, I also forgot I put in a new T-stat, and I assume you mean the 8th digit which is X.

Edit- do I still need to unhook the battery if I have a scanner?

Fuses are good, cleared the codes made it run alittle better for a couple of days.

What engine is it?

VIN code X is a 4.0 V6 OHV.

Clear the codes and erase the memory after you change the thermostat. Clean the MAF senser with rubbing alcohol or electrical cleaner. Then run it a couple days and see if another code pops up. It wont hurt to clean all the electrical connectors under the hood also with elect cleaner and use dielectric grease to put them back together. Then connect the battery and erase the memory. It takes a couple complete warm up cycles to reset the new values. Allways fix the codes lowest number first and reset the computer and erase the memory to confirm the repair. One fault can throw multiple codes that is why you address the lowest number first and fix them one at a time then start again.
