My credo
It is what it is.
I have a 86 ranger std cab sitting on a 91-94 frame. the guy that had the truck before me had a 302 in the truck at one time. I was just wondering what 5.0 motors will fit in my truck. will a 5.0 from a 94 f105 fit? thanks

They will all fit--it's a matter of what mounts you will need for that frame. The truck intake is too tall, but you can pick up an Explorer intake at Belton Wrench A-part. I had a 4.0 in mine previously, so I just used a set of flat steel plates made by a member here on the forum to sit on top of the V-6 mounts. Start reading the V-8 conversion forum to get information on what the swap requires. Recently SVT did a swap on a 1988 BII using a later model Explorer and OBDII electrics--that's probably a really good one to look at. I think one of the more confusing issues with your swap will be the wiring if the cab swap changed much of what was there previously. BTW I'm also in Cove. I can show you what I've done if you are interested.
