It's nice that someone mentions the 5 speed Miatas used the same transmission as the truck. What's interesting to note is that the 5 speed Miata was one of the slickest, smoothest short throw 5 speeds ever made. The different shifter on the Ranger makes this same transmission almost agricultural. Strange - I did two Miata clutch slave repairs and in both cases the slave was easy to reach and definitely not inside the tranny.
