Ok guys I'm a noob on ford trucks.. i got good deal on my 1987 ford ranger stx its a single cab 2.9 v6 with a 4speed w/ od and the shifter is extremly wobbly. I want to get the right parts for this thing...
iwant to make this a DD cause im planningon sasing my other truck soon.. thanks in advanced try not to flame on me...

its either a fm145 or fm 146m most likely... the fm 145 has a curved shifter with a short boot, the fm146 has a straight shifter with a full length boot... so you'll need the appropriate shifter bushing kit for the trans to tighten that up

Yup it's John bull at gate keeper..

It's an FM 145. If your unsure, climb underneath, drivers side of the tranny is a red metal tag. It'll tell you what's in it.
