What Trans For my 4.0l OHV Ranger Project?

I have a 92 4.0 OHV ford ranger 2x4. I want to mate a transmission onto it that either is compatible with a gear driven t case such as the np 205 or one that I can buy an adapter to use one. Im also interested in what adapters that are made for the 4.0 that would allow me to mate a transmission like a np435 or a sm465 to my 4.0l. What do you all recommend I want to build something for the trails but would also like to toy around on the rocks some. I have a m5r1 in the garage do they make adapters for those to run say a dana 300 or np205?

Check Advance Adapters website. They make adapters for stuff you wouldn't even think about. They have an application tool that allows you to look through there available adapters for the tranny you wish to use or the transfer you wish to use. Very informative.

Only thing they make is a 4.0 to 700r4 adapter
