Took some pictures of the dog today, and decided to explore my property a bit. Found some things behind an area I've been clearing.

Hay bale hoist? I dunno.

I want to see pics of the dog!!!!!!! That is a bale (hay) hoist as my grandfather used to call it. We had one like that when I was a kid on our dairy farm. The tailgate appears to be from the 60's. It looks like one on the back of the neat old '66 4x4 I had many years ago. I think it was a K10 if I remember correctly.

Neat old fine, Bro!!!!

Might be worth something to the right person. Call the American Pickers man.

I'll have to check in with the old man about the tailgate, might have went to one of his old trucks. He might know about the hoist too.

Cameras been acting up. I need to buy a new one. Most of the pictures I take come up as "corrupt file" on the camera. This is the only picture of the dog that went through.

He's my brothers. We've been "pet sitting" him for well over a year now while my brother gets back on his feet. He finally got a new place, so the pooch is going bye bye. I'll have to try to get new pictures tomorrow. He was a bit sleepy today anyway, spends most of his night keeping the coyotes in the woods, and away from the deer that like to eat by our apple trees.

I'm hoping I'll come across a good deal on some scrap wood soon, so I can help my brother build a kennel for his dog on his new property. I definitely want the dog in a better shelter this winter.

Pickers would have a field day with my fathers garage. You wont believe the things we're finding in there. It was packed nearly full of junk.

Best treasure so far, and the "inspiration" for the cleaning, was my dad's Harley. It's been in there since the late 80's. Were going to work on it a bit restoring it. I'd like to see it back in it's prime but I think it will just turn into a money pit.

has it been swallowed by the tarpit below it?

The grapple is probably worth scrap to anybody that isn't wanting one and maybe slightly more for someone that wants one. Just about every barn had one at one point, and not many people are putting up loose hay in a barn anymore. Dunno how you would get ahold of them, but maybe some amish or minonite people might need one.

Tailgate looks like a stepside tailgate, just about everything up until '88 had a tailgate that looked something like that.

I would absolutely love to get my hands on a grapple like that! Would work perfectly for an idea I have in my head.

The hay thing would make some nice yard art and the tailgate would make some good fill for the crusher.
