What temp does the transmission send fluid to the trans cooler?

2009 5R55E. I installed a transmission temp gauge, but I've only driven the truck around the block since replacing the transmission. I was curious as to what temperature the transmission has to get up to to send fluid to the cooler, or does it circulate constantly?
