what stall torque converter

Got a 94 ranger, 5.0, c4, gonna be on 35in tires with 4.?? Gears. Got the trans out of a 72 torino and come with a torque converter, gonna rebuilt it and need to know what stall converter would be good for it?

need to know a little more about the engine to even give an idea. What are you using it for? An exact gear ratio is a little more helpful as well. If it's a stock engine then use a pretty much stock stall speed. If it's offroad only some like a lower stall but on the other hand an engine with aftermarket heads, cam and headers is going to make use of more stall. Also a lighter vehicle will stall lower than a heavy one. There are quite a few details needed for the correct stall speed, cam is one. If you changed the cam the card will tell you a recommended speed to be looking for.

its a stock engine with a HO cam, and lets say 4.88 gear ratio, wont see any long distance road use. mostly gonna just be my mud truck toy.

4.88's are about on par with 35s. Pretty much stock engine I can't see the use if much higher than stock stall speed, 2500rpm at most. Going overkill on the stall will hurt more than help especially since you don't have cam, heads, intake and so on to make benefit of the shift in the powerband. I'd go stock or a few hundred over stock.
