I have a 2004 ford ranger edge, automatic, 3.0 liter, 2wd, 4.10 gears, have the 8.8 rear axle. Can i find out what spline i have without pulling the axle shafts out? Im trying to price a locker and gears but need to know which spline i have. Any help would be appriciated.
Also i have asked this before but i think i decided to go with 4.56 gears instead of 4.88s. Reason is i got 17mpg when i first got the truck with stock tires, ran the tires off a sport track ( forgot size 28 i think?) i got 24 mpg. It was the sweet spot. Now i have 33 inch tires and im geting 16.5 to 19 at the best. Mostly 17-18 mpg. Im afraid if i get 4.88s they will be low and 4.56s will put me into the sweet spot?
