I have a 93 ext cab ranger with a 4.0L and i want to know what you guys have for exhaust. mine rusted and fell off just before my muffler and sounds like crap:annoyed: but i want to get good sound and proformance.
let me know what muffler and how the routing is on your 4.0L's:icon_thumby:

I have a Gibson on my Trac, it makes a V6 sound as good as it's ever going to.

I personally don't think a Flowmaster 40 sounds good on a 4.0. My friend used to run one, and they sounded great at idle, but had a "tinny" sound to them higher in the RPM range.

Flow master dual exhaust is what i got it sounds great and gives yeah better fuel economy. But tommorow im gunna nock the catalytic converter out and put a pipe where it goes. its gunna sound sick!

I'm running 2.5" from the cats back to a super 44 dual exit. i love it, but it's too loud for some things.. for example, the people can't hear me over the truck in a drive-thru, my boss is so embarassed by the noise that he makes me take his truck to pick up lumber, and i'm worried it will be too loud for the baby i have on the way. Great throaty sound though, almost as good as some Rams I've heard.

What would you guys think about a magnaflow? My buddy put one on his f-150 and it sounds awesome just wanna know if would be good for my ranger

Used to have a dual exhaust setup with flowmasters on my 92 with the 4.0. Buddy told me it sounded like a pissed off weedeater when I gave it gas.

Whats a muffler that has a mild flowmaster sound to it. Not incredibly loud but i want to be able to tell its their. I am going to do a cat back but i will cut off the reduction the exhaust has where it bolts together and make it 2.50 inch all the way to the flow master which is going to be about 1 foot before the axle and then dump the exhaust.

oh look. its THIS thread again
