What size meats can the D35 handle?

I recently posted this question to my fellow clubmates
All measurements are with the tires on the trucks

My 36x12.50 15 TSLs on 15x8 Measure 35" (almost new tread)

Half Worn 35x12.50 Thornturds on 16.5 8" wide measured 32-33"

33x13.50 TSLs on 15x10 (almost new tread) measured 31.5-32"

33x10.50 on 15x8 (new tread) measured 33"

32x11.50 on 15x8 Durango M/Ts (half worn) 30-31"

37x12.50 on 15x8 Baga Claws (almost new) 36"

33x12.50 15x8 GoodYear Silent Armors (new) 31.5

one thing about the d44 knuckle swap, i set the knuckle as low as possible for upper clearance, and when you run with the front diff welded, remember to phase the shafts.

hmmm, i suppose mine is gonna have it a little rougher seein as they measure 35.5, but are also 14.5" wide

(Warrlord (aka Thumper) is another who ran 38" TSLs & a Detroit on his big huge Supercab for a few years rockcrawling, with (IIRC) only two broken shafts during that time (not running the 760s either). I think he has 37" IROKs on it now IIRC.

Yup, I broke an outer shaft while running 38" TSL bias.

Broke the center joint running 37" Iroks radials

Blew apart both Warn #29071 hubs running 36" Irok bias

I'm currently running the 36" Iroks & will continue to run 'em. I bought the Jeep hubs but I still take it easy on 'em. When the two axles broke, I was dogging it pretty hard & I didn't even need to so that's my dumbass moment. When the hubs blew apart, I was severely bound up & figured I'd try a slight holeshot...........it didn't work. I always try my best to take it easy but sometimes it needs alot of throttle........sometimes stuff will break, sometimes it won't. I just roll with the flow & fix it when it breaks. Keeping spare shafts & hubs in the tool box helps too :D

For instance, i plan on running 38.5" gumbo monster mudders, they measre 35.5"

where are you getting mudders at? I thought they stopped making them....

ok, im sittin here thinkin, whats the actual MEASURED size of the tires guys are runnin, cause a 35 ive seen measure from anywhere at 35" down to 33", depending on the tire and manufaturer.

For instance, i plan on running 38.5" gumbo monster mudders, they measre 35.5"

My 35" BFGs measured out to 34 15/16" when they were new (15x8 wheel, 30 PSI)

Well, thanks for all your input everybloody!

I think that the wise thing for me to do when I get new tires is to not exceed 35's. Especially because of my available torque. If they measure somewhat smaller than 35" true dia then so be it...

I think the anticipated 35 LTB's on the front and 35 Boggers on the back should look pretty knarly.

Just run LTB's all the way around. If you get in any off camber stuff, the rear end will want to slide down hill from the boggers lack of lateral stability. (they don't have tread that will bite in a sideways direction)

Solid point, that is my main concern.
But I have a tire groover to adjust that to whatever I want, and I love the look, and that it will be signature/uncommon.
