I want to clear 265/75r15s. (Stock tires on an f-250 about) on my ranger. It's 1988. I was going to get the leveling springs, a spacer underneath, explorer springs and a 2 inch block and body it 3 inches...can I clear those?

Arnt 265/75/15's 31's? I think that was the factory size on my ranger. Id say just a levelig kit or a body lift and you should be good

That comes out to 30.8x10.51R15. More or less a 31x1.5r15.

With a first gen 2wd: They won't fit inside the rear wheel arches. (If that matters to you.) 9.5 wide is pushing it there. The height will be a minor problem. 4x4's had 2" lift blocks in the back and 31s don't fit them if your springs have any significant sag.

well im figuring i have 205/75r14s on it right now...a size up from factory tires. leveling springs will give you almost 2 inches on the front and a spacer will give you a little more than that. a 2 inch block in the back and explorer springs will give you about 4 total in the back plus a 3 inch body lift...i think it might. i'm not sure. i can post some pics of and what the stock config is...It's a nosedive in the front though. Shocks are shot all the way around and i think springs are cut or weak...story says that it was a lowrider in the 90's. I just wanna make it a good looking truck that isnt so wimpy.

What did you finally end up with? Just curious. I think your plan can easily fit265/75R15 but I am no expert by any means.

I have a 1992 2wd XLT and also want to fit 31x10.5x15 under it. My researching was telling me I needed about 4" of total lift to fit them. This could be a combination of suspension and/or body lift. I have not tested it to see if it is true or asked the real experts on TRS yet.
