plan on running explorer leafs and mix and match with stockers for 2 inches of lift. Which other vehicle could i use the shocks from so i can just get them at autozone and save some money?

for good value new shocks, try the Gabriel Max Control truck shocks or the KYB Gas Adjust truck shocks. not the most expensive for sure, but not the real cheapy ones you could buy for under $20 each. think these 2 brands go for about $80-90 a pair.

I asked the same question a while back for my trailer made from an 87 bed. It has a 4 inch lift. I was told to use some from a 1992 Dodge Ramcharger 4WD. Your stockers are 26.98 inches of stroke and the Dodge is 28.64 inches.

I think this is more of what you are looking for in my interpretation of your question. They are the exact same price as the stockers at the Autozone here.
