94 ranger 4x4 4.0l. What rims/tire will fit off other years of Rangers? What about other makes? They need to have a large center hole. Looking for CL tire/wheels not really wanting to have to pay for dismount unless it's a smoking deal. Also because it seems more are going to 16/17 rim. Just need to know what will work. Thanks!! :icon_cheers:

So they will all have large center hole to fit over hub?

Go to the tech library and scroll down to Tires, Wheels, Brakes, and Steering. Click on Ranger Wheel Guide on the left Should help you get a better idea of what fits and what don't

From the Tech Library...

"Wheel Spacers / Adapters:

Wheel spacers can be purchased to the wheel out farther. They can also be purchased to adapt an axle to accept a different wheel bolt pattern. They are used by people to space wheels out away from the vehicle if they are swapping rims that don't have the proper back spacing. Sometimes enthusiasts use a spacer when swapping Mustang rims on to their 2WD Ranger to allow enough space for the front center cap to snap on to the wheel.

The adapters are generally used when people swap in an axle that has a wheel bolt pattern different than the other axle on the vehicle. Adding adapters to one of these axles will allow the vehicle to use wheels that can be mounted on either axle.

The spacers/adapters mount by bolting on to the hub where the original wheel studs are and have new wheel studs in the spacer/adapter."

Maybe it helps you, if not, I have no clue, I just passed along this when I was looking myself and thought I'd bring it to your attention.

:icon_idea: My bad, didn't think of the tech forum :shok: I did try a search of this forum. I did learn that only up to 1998 will fit the front hubs, after that they're just as usless as jeep wheels :bawling:. Thank you all for your help :icon_cheers:

hey now I've got some TJ steelies on my ranger..... Only handy part about jeeps..... Everybody who has one thinks they need aftermarket wheels and MT's on their street queen so that means LOTS of free/super cheap options for my 2wd ranger. But admittedly most of the best looking ones don't fit with the small centers but no worries regardless! Glad we could help

Actually my son has been running around with jeeps on the back and fords on the front, didn't want to pay to swap four BFGs :shok: Now it's time to get more tire, at least backs. Found some Jeep steelies with big center holes with yoko geolanders. Wonder if they're good tires? :icon_confused:

Lol yeah that craps getting EXPENSIVE here lately:shok: I've had buddies with street queens (those darned jeep guys again) who said they last and do pretty good as on roaders but I can't remember how they do off the pavement:icon_confused:
