what lights come on?

Ok i have two questions what lights are suppose to come on in a 1988 ford ranger 2.9l auto.?i have the seatbelt light the battery light and the check engine light to come on and i know whats wrong with the brake light is there any other lights that are suppose to come on the instrument panel when you turn the ignition on?and my other is my temperature guage isent working can anyone tell me where it connects to the motor at?

anyone know where the stock temp guage hooks to the motor at?

I have an 88 2.9 auto and my batt. belt and check eng. are the only lights that come on. and the stock eng. temp sending unit is located on the lower intake manifold next to the thermostat housing.
