What kind of leaf springs are these?

I was at the local junkyard scouting out some leaf springs for my '89 Beater truck and came across these. They look fiberglass? They were on a 89-92 Ranger. I was thinking of getting them just because they are different. I don't haul anything heavy in my Ranger just scrap and yard waste. Any ideas what these are?

Thanks,

They are stock base model springs used on late gen2 and early gen3 trucks.

The nice thing about them is that they are what they are, very fatigue resistant.

The bad thing about them is they aren't terribly stiff.

AllanD,
Is the mounting any different than the steel springs? I'm thinking of getting them as it looks like they will come off quickly. Since it's in the 20's temp wise I don't fell like encountering any through bolts rust to the inner sleeve of a spring bushing.

Thanks,

Yes they mount the same way.

is it just me or is the spring plate a totally different design on it too?

They do mount the same way at both ends.

Spring plate? yeah, it's different, it's moulded to the spring.
