Ok Ive been hearing a hissing coming from my truck and finally found where its coming from. Its a hose that goes to nowhere above the catalitic converter beside the tranny pan. Does anyone know where its supposed to go. Thanks
I believe it is for the shift module on the tranny there is a nipple on the module I will try and get a pic it is kinna hard to get at but your tranny will shift alot better with it plugged in. your talking vacuum size hose right.
It is called a transmission modulator A/T and I dont have a clue what I am doing tried to get a pic but my computer skills really suck it is round sticking out the side of the tranny above the cat and it has a nipple check the hose and make sure it is not cracked or melted and just plug it in
They are easy to do if the cat is not in the way. But the prefered method is to remove the passenger seat, pull up the carpet and jute padding and then the tranny access plate in the floor, then remove the heat shield on the side of the tranny.
