Hey what's up? New guy here. I have a 1994 mazda b2300 2.3l lima 2wd. I've been wondering what this plug is under my dash?

If you leave it unplugged, you will not hear a chime when you open the doors.

It's for the 4x4 and Low Range lights on the dash (my '94 has the same connector with another harness plugged into it running down to the 4WD transfer case).
Ford generally puts all the same wiring in every truck rolling off the assy line regardless of what options it has installed (my truck didn't have the fog light package either, but still has fog light wiring connectors).

IIRC, base model trucks prior to '95 have a door buzzer instead of a chime.

That was one of my theories. That ford used the same harness for all their rangers. I have 4x4 dash indicator lights, but it's a 2wd truck. Thanks for clarifying!

And idk about the chime/buzzer part. It has never been connected and I've always had a door chime, not buzzer.

I could be wrong. There is a plug attached to the front of my floor vent on my '93 2wd that looks similar to that. I disconnected it and my doors quit dinging. It was years ago when I last looked at it.

In the very upper-left corner of your 1st pic, that is the door chime module. It should be secured to the lower lip underneath your dash by a single screw. There should be a sort-of unusual shape 7-pin connector connected to it (3 pins upper row, 4 pins lower row).
