I have a leak from the bottom of my 2007 ford ranger. The leak is coming from the piece that is circled red in the picture. I tried to put black tape (didn't have anything else) to slow it.
Does anyone what that part that is circled called and what type of fluid is leaking? Thanks.

That sure looks like split convoluted tubing for a wire harness.

My guess is it isn't leaking there... but leaking from something above it and running down it.

thanks for the response. I thought maybe it was leaking from above but did not see anything... I could have missed it.

What body bushing are we seeing in the picture?

Is that the front or rear cab mount? Passenger side or driver side?

The park brake is cable operated... certainly that doesn't "leak".

Check the fluid level in the brake master cylinder... I'll bet it's low if not empty.

I think G8orFord has it right. Brake line leak.

thank you all of you for chiming in. hopefully I can get it in soon to get fixed.

For sure. Losing brakes is a heck of a surprise on the highway

It's just what we do.

Be really careful... needing to brake... and having NONE is the worst feeling!
