What is this part called its were the heater hose connects to the intake manifold

not absolutely sure what you are referring too in the pic. And I don't immediately recognize the engine although I really only know the 2.9L

Looks like a bunch of missing vacuum lines, a broken off/taped up EGR pipe and at the bottom of the pic, if I were to take a guess, that brass looking hex with nothing in it looks like it could be a ECT (Engine Coolant Temperature) sensor, but with the distributor right there...it seems like it isn't a 2.9L so...I just dunno

The bent pipe looks to be the heater hose fitting and the two vacuum switches. I doubt you are going to use the switches so just unscrew the whole thing and get a brass barbed nipple to hook the heater core up to. That is the pressure side and the return should be a nipple on the water pump. What does the thermostat housing look like?

Sorry should've been more specific and yes I didn't think about just buying a brass barb but that'll work just fine, I'm not sure, the nipple was rusty but the holes were kinda my doing, it never leaked, but its also 45 yrs old so the rust doesn't surprise me

Thats funny the thermostat housing is on the bottom of the picture maybe that fitting is the bypass the heater goes to the nipple on the thermostat housing I believe.

There should be a bypass hose that goes from the thermostat housing to the water pump then one hose goes from the water pump to the heater core and the other from the top of the intake to the heater core

It goes from the intake to the heater core, I was just wondering what the part was called
