The little thing on the steering column below the windshield washer and blinker controls. Never seen one before. what would that be for?

Can you get a better pic? All I'm seeing is another control stick and a screw hole.

The picture does not show it really clear, but I think you are talking about the little lever behind the multi function switch. It looks like it has some writing of some sort on it but cannot make it out in the picture. I would take a guess that it looks like it might be for cruise control. I am just taking a guess though as I have never seen a Ranger with that lever on it. Maybe someone else who has seen it will be able to tell you for sure.

That stick does look like a few GM and aftermarket cruise setups I've seen.

Kinda odd... Looks like a toyota car's headlight control...

Cruise control should be on the steeringwheel. It looks like the steeringwheel tilt adjustment handle.

That is an after market cruse control. I have seen a few of them installed over the years at my uncles shop.

it's an aftermarket cruise, i had an identical one on my 88 ranger, it's a dana corp cruise module.

+1

My 92 had the exact same thing until we ripped it out(it wasn't hooked up anyway.), but that's the cruise control alright. :icon_thumby:

Please note that NOBODY is saying it's factory cruise control. Almost every comment related to that system implies it is anything but Ford CC (which would be on the wheel). Also that is NOT a tilt column handle. It's way too thick.

Finally, steering wheel is two words.

looks too goofy(ugly) to be stock, besides all Rangers ive seen with cruise control have it on the steering wheel.
