What do people mean when they are talking about the front ttb suspension and mention something called the pig? what is it?

Differential.

The entire third member unit that can be removed from the beam.

It kindof vaguely looks like a pig's head when it's out of the truck.

AKA: "Chunk", "3rd", "Third member", "Pumpkin", "Carrier housing", etc.

Interesting, I've never heard it called a pig.

I have always used "Third member", "Pumpkin", or "Diff".
