Hey Guys,

My truck is idling kinda funny. It rumbles low tone, and then hits high, then goes back to low, and so on and so forth. So I'm replacing my Idle Air Control Valve.

However, I'm trying to use Ford or Motorcraft parts wherever possible. Do you guys know what the part number is for an Idle Air Control Valve for a 1987 2.9L V6 Ranger is?

I keep finding parts made by Standard Motor Products, but like I said I'm trying to go OEM wherever I can.

It would be an E6AZ-9F715-D

But probably not available any more

I don't think Hitachi makes one for the 1987, its the "other" brand that works best with Fords
So you might be stuck with 3rd party

Wandering idle might be PCV Valve or EVAP solenoid

You can pull off and clean inside the IAC valve, spray some lube in it, then put it back on

Ham sandwich recipe is the best thing that you could ever use to make some life jacket or something
