What is the most common Ranger engine (in here and out there)?

I've owned 11 Rangers...

1 - 2.3L... which I swapped a V8 in after 230K roughly.

10 - -4.0L... 3 - SOHC and 7 - OHV

2.3l duratec

2.3l ecoboost is in a different Ranger, if you include it then you should include the F150 Ranger and all the T6 international Rangers

So I think we should be looking at 1983-2011 Ranger engines

Don't forget about the Edsel Ranger, too. No, it didn't have a 2.3l engine. It could be had with a 3.7L inline 6, a 4.8L V8, or a 5.9L V8.

So, to those who say the Ranger never came from the factory with a V8, I say THBPPLLTT!! Oh, the F150 Ranger probably also had a V8 available.
