My old cooper cobra gts are getting worn out so i was thinking new tires are in order. I need a good road tire cause my 92 ranger is my dd but i want something that can go off road too, so i was thinking all terrians, but i dont know whats good or bad, so my question is what are your suggestions?

i was on tirerack.com and found these, are they any good:
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires...R5KL78OWL&vehicleSearch=true&fromCompare1=yes

there is reviews of this tire on the web page linked. if you wanna know if they are good or no try readin the responses of people who owned them first. i'd say readin the reviews is the best way to start. remember people usually right a response more if they disliked the tires than if they liked them...

Hands-down the best A/T's I ever had were Bridgestone Dueler REVO's. A good road tire, good in rain, awesome in snow, and surprisingly good in mud (unlike BFG A/T's). Downside, they wear out pretty fast.

i absolutely love my toyo open country m/ts. they have a pretty aggressive look, have a lot of live in them (like 60,000), they plow through anything they go through and are virtually silent on the road

well actually i went on tirerack.com, my tire size is 225/70/14, and there is only one all terrian tire availible, it is a Firestone Destination A/T, the revieiws on tirerack are good, but does anyone out there use them, are they any good

and another question, i have the wheels below, is there any way to powder coat them black, or paint them?

I just got a set of those for my Sport Trac but it's really too soon to say. They are relatively quiet and seem to be fine in rain but that's all I've got so far.

General Grabber AT2s are nice road tires, especially for winter driving. They also wear great. Check them out - they review the same or better than BFG ATs and are about $30 cheaper per tire.

hands down the best pavement pounding and off road tire is goodyear mtr's they ware down just like street tires but they will sling some mudd trust me.......

yessssssssssssssssssss destination ats kick ass i love em i got mine for 500 mounted and balanced on sale

the new goodyear wrangler dura-trac's look pretty good. Going to get a set on my DD to replace the pirelli's.

Got 235/75/15 Firestone Destintaion AT like you asked about. On a 4x2 XLT 2002, they're the larger factory allowed size. Look great. Happy with them. On the 4x2 never hydroplaned at 70mph in any heavy rain. Great in snow. Stayed round, little noise. Took the Tirerack shipped price to local Firestone and they matched the $$$. Only thing about firestone was they don't warrant their alignment or balancing. Gotta be careful.
Happy with tire. Wary about the service.

Tell you what though, BEST service I ever had was at Sam's Club tire. Low prices, cheap installation and great warranty service. Its all they do. No hard selling of exhaust deodorizer crap. Look at the website for your tire size.
