2.3L ('83-'97) What is that?

Was looking from the passenger side and noticed what's in the pic; what is it and can I assume that it's supposed to be attached to the bracket that's next to it?

As a follow up, anyone know the size of screws that hold it on?

That's the EGR pressure sensor. I don't recall where it's supposed to be mounted exactly as I ripped mine off and it's now living in the bed until it finds its way into the trashcan.

Mabey @scotts90ranger knows better
 
Yeah, that's the EGPV or whatever it's called... yes should be mounted to that bracket with likely 6mm bolts but if you find 1/4" bolts first they'll likely work fine... It also looks like you might have a broken exhaust manifold bolt/stud on the bottom side.
 
That would probably explain why i see exhaust fumes coming out of that general area?
