First, if this is not posted in the correct area of the forums, mods, please move it. Was not sure where to put it...

Its time to let my truck go  I was just wondering what a fair asking price would be?

1990 Ranger single cab, 4x4, 2.9V6, automatic, about 190k, Its got a 6inch skyjacker lift and 33inch BFG Muds that have 16k of mostly highway driving on them. Body is is good condition except a few small dings and one noticeable dent on the side of the bed next to the tail light. Paint isnt looking too great on the hood, roof, and drivers door. everywhere else its really not to bad. Included a close up of the clear coat peeling on the driver door... dam bird..:annoyed:

That old of a truck will sell for whatever a buyer is willing to pay. I would have to see it in person to give a fair price (rust never sleeps and needs to be looked for to give an example) I see nice Rangers and BII's that year around here going for $1800-$2600 in pretty nice shape. Look at Craigslist and Ebay for trucks in the same shape and year as yours and see what they are going for.

What is the most someone has offered for it? That is what it is worth.

Thanks for the input. I had checked out craigslist but there were not too many rangers in my area. Also I was not sure how much the lift would affect the price. I was thinking I would be happy to get $2000 out of it. The tires alone when they were new were half that..

I haven't quite posted it for sale anywhere yet. Wanted to get and idea of a fair asking price first. Nobody on the street has ever walked up to me and said "Ill give you $xxxx for your truck right now" so i guess its worth nothing!:shok: :icon_rofl:

No, that makes it worth about $350. All cars are worth at least $350.

Hey! Do you realize that was bird poop on your door and that it is extremely good fortune to have that? Just imagine if you had been opening the door and stepping out when the bird pooped...

Not a bad looking truck...only thing I can see that may be a down side is the regular cab...but there are plenty of short people in the world that would love that truck...

$350 is, of course, scrap price...but I would list it for $2000 or B.O. I'm sure you will get someone interested since it is lifted and 4x4...two big pluses...as long as it runs...

If it were mine I'd pull the bed and do a wire wheel scrub down and paint the frame...probably won't cost more than your time and maybe $50...but it does make it easier to sell when the frame is clean...usually...

another big downside is the auto trans, especially an auto trans with 190k. i'd list it at around 2800-2900 and see if you get any bites. always leave room for haggling

Here that truck would get you 4500 to 5000 being in such nice condition. Too bad you can't get that in the states for it. On the other hand that bird has impeccable aim. Must have taken sniper training.

hmm, wonder how much of a hassle it is to ship a truck down there.. probably too much..

And yeah, I had mixed feelings about that bird. Was not sure if I should track it down and kill it or give it a marksmanship award. :icon_confused:

Thanks for the input guys

It's a nice enough truck, I'd pay $2500
