Well, here is my 1989 Ford Ranger 4x4. 2.9, four speed w/overdrive, and no options over than the sliding rear window. I'm trying to sell this thing, but the problem is it's covered in dents. I'm trying to get 1200 for it. What does everyone else think I can get?

partly depends on where you live, if it were around me youd get your 1200 cause all the metal on the truck is solid, instead of looking like swiss cheese like every single truck i see around here.

No visible rust, dents can be fixed.
You would get $1200.00 for it up here.
Most '89 Rangers around here are starting to get very rusty.

a WORKING, RUNNING 4x4 with no rust?

Put it in the front yard with a for sale sign in my neck of the woods in Pennsylvania
and you wouln't have to ASK $1200 for it, you'd get offers in that range.

I'll start posting it for 1400 then. I made the mistake of putting it on Craigslist, and no one on there wants to pay what you ask, no matter how low you put it. I'll just have to be patient I guess.

I paid $1500 for my 4X2, couple of dents, peeling clearcoat. I felt it was a fair price, so I think a 4X4 in that range should get the money you want.

Around here with rust definately not a problem you would probably be lucky to get $1000 if it had low miles.

I got $2500 for my '91 3.0 auto 2wd w/ 240,000 MI back in May, I only had a few minor door ding but still $1200 sounds god to me

i paid $4280 canadian last year for my 90 b2 4x4. although it was original owner who ordered it from the factory, had it detailed twice a year, and it only had 40000 kms on it. if i were you, i'd ask 2000 for that truck. nothing 'wrong' with it - it's full of character!!:derisive:

Yeah, the sign I put on it says 1800. A guy called me and tried getting it down to 1000. He kept bitching that it had too many dents, but I just told him that you have to pay for four wheel drive. He wasn't really convinced. I'll just tell people they don't have to worry about body damage when they wheel it; I already did it for them.
