Hello all, I have a 97 ranger 4x4 4.0 auto with warn manual hubs and 3.73's. I was just wondering does this rig have a limited slip in the front or rear or anything like that? just wondering cause its gettin muddy where im goin lately and i dont wana take this thing into a spot where it cant get out!

thanks!

ok thanks! so i have a ls 8.8 in the back so is that good and im assuming an open front is not good? lol im a noob to this all

Most clutch type limited slips, including traclok, wear over time and lose their performance to almost that of an open diff.

If your looking for the most traction possible, you want a locker. You can get a lunchbox locker at a reasonable price.

Search the forums here and you will find a wealth of information on this topic...

You aint wheelin unless you're getting stuck! It's half the fun :D

But for the most traction, get some lockers front and rear and some super aggressive mud tires and you'll do good.

you'll also get yourself in more trouble than with open diffs... generally the farther you get, the worse the stuck gets unless you make it out the other end.
