I have a 1988 Ford Ranger pick-up, I love he, but unfortunately we need to get rid of her. It currently is not running, we have had a few people look at it n my main mechanic was unavailable to look at it, but when told what happened, he was the first to tell us the problem is most likely a clogged injector valvE, and it shouldn't run more than like $50 to get her parts. My husband is not a mechanic n apparently dont really wanna even try. She has been sitting for about a year or so, needs new tires, body is in good snap n someone who knows how to fix her. I was asking $500, which is what we got told it was worth, but I have had a few of my mechanic friends said I may even be able to get $1000. But idk cant seem to find anything in Kelly blue book. Any suggestions?

KBB won't go back more than 20 years, so you won't find anything there.

IMO something that doesn't run and can't be driven to see how it is is worth no more than $350.

If it runs well and doesn't need anything, body and interior in good shape, something that year should go for $800 to $1500, depending on local market.
