What generation is my truck???

I know this sounds like a dumb question, but a buddy and I statred arguing about what generation my truck is.

I say its a generation 4, due to the fact that it is ISF.

Now, my buddy says its generation 3.5 which makes no sense what so ever. His reasoning is because the headlights on the 1998-2000 Rangers are different than the 2001-present. He thinks even though the truck has IFS, its not quite a gen 4 due to the front lights.

What do you guys say????

It is a Gen 4. Gen 3's are '93-'97.

I don't think there ever was a specific generation between them, although many consider there to be. Technically its a Gen four, but you could get away with calling it a Gen five.
