Hi guys, My truck is a weekend wheeler and a daily driver (once i finish the suspension lift :icon_thumby:) and I was wondering what you guys would recommend in the way of gauges. I want to be able to keep a close eye on the truck when I wheel. Things i was thinking about was possibly Oil pressure, Amps, and possibly water (is this engine temp or coolant?) Sorry I have never dealt with any gauges before so this is new to me but I'm ready and willing to learn! Thanks!

for oil pressure ull need a new sender unit for a gauge to work, because the stock one is just a switch
u can replace the sender and bypass a resistor on the cluster so the needle actually works with oil pressure.
amp gauge works inline with the + battery post i guess.

the water temp on the cluster seems to be coolant temp also

AutoMeter all manual type for me from here on out..............I will never buy a cheap set again.
Electrical sending unit's lie to much for me.

Water temp
Oil pressure
Volt or Amp........I like the Volt type myself.

Alright, do they come with instructions on how to install or is there a writeup or something? I am gonna look around later.

Very Easy to hook up.
You can find the AutoMeter Sport Comp series oil and volt on on ebay pretty cheap.
The water temp will run you around $75.
Log on to Jegs or Summit and get a free catalog if you dont have one, both are full of AutoMeter goodies.

Let me know if I can help............Spend the $500......................LOL!
Manual gauges are not that hard to intall, they come with the fittings and such to replace your stock sending units.
