What else would cause white smoke besides blown head gasket?

My credo
Crossed threads are tight threads.
I noticed my ranger has been smoking lately. Coolant and oil both clean, coolant temp gauge normal activity. Could it be something besides a blown head gasket?

Its white smoke, doubt its the head gasket....

I must disclose its been at least a season or two since I have driven this truck anywhere beyond moving stuff around the property. I let it warm up until the tick goes away, maybe 15-30 mins of mins of idle/ 4 low putting around, then back to sleep she goes. I do keep the battery on a tender most of the time.

Also I did the lower intake gasket when replacing cam synchro...Not sure if it sealed properly or is leaking but seems fine. I used 2 piece gasket and the great stuff silicone to fill the middles.

You sure it's coolant and not just oil?

Could just be a couple rings are stuck or something from sitting, or valve stem seal.

When you burn gasoline(Hydrocarbon) with Oxygen one of the by-products is H2O(water)
And if it happens to be a humid day engine is also sucking in moisture with the air

So exhaust system is full of water vapor, its why tail pipes drip out water and exhaust systems rust from the inside out, lol
When you shut off the engine exhaust flow stops but water vapor is still inside, as exhaust cools down the water vapor condenses inside the exhaust and settles as water in lower areas
When you restart the now cold engine the water turns back in to water vapor almost instantly, 800deg exhaust temp, lol
So its quite normal to see white "smoke" on cold start, especially if outside temp is cooler, the water vapor condenses to white "smoke" as soon as it hits the cooler outside air

If you see it after start up then smell it, sweet smell is coolant
Lower intake on "V" engines have crossover passages for coolant flowing between the heads
Its possible for lower intake to crack, so coolant leaks into air flowing to cylinders, very much of a longshot
And if you are not losing coolant..................

Might be...she does sit a lot...and does consume a little oil.

I do mind the exhaust water, or not I should say because it is a byproduct of gasoline burn...which might have had something to do with it because it has been inconsistent, possibly based on the equally indecisive weather...just like the CA residents....can't make up its mind lol smh
