Dorman isn't an especially well-loved brand in general - I can't speak to that light though, it just seems a bit pricey to me.

Is your light broken? Mine developed a leak too but I was able to seal it up nicely by removing the lens, a good clean up, and a very thin layer of Permatex ultra black on the suspect area. Invisible and waterproof. And essentially free.

Otherwise, any good u-pull scrapyards near you?

this. I would take good used parts over Dorman. tailgate cables you are probably okay to use, but anything electrical run away

Why does it seem pricey to you.

My light is not broken. I don't want to use silicone or anything similar to that because its to nice of a truck so thats why i was thinking a new third brake light

Why would you take good used parts over dorman. and why do you say to run away if it has to do with electrical and dorman.
