An interesting waist of time and money.... May I suggest you buy a smart phone, if you don't already have one, and get an app like the clinometer by Smittybuilt. Than buy a window or dash mount, Calibrate the thing on the flats and go for a ride in the woods. That's the one I use. It offers you fictional pitch and roll plus an alarm to tell you when your to close to rolling or flipping over. It also has a GPS compass. I suggest putting your gyro horizion in your den to give you and the buds something to talk about over a case of beer.
