if i hydro locked it, id be putting a 1974 corvette 350 small block in it. dont get your hopes up on upgrading.

Why on earth would you go through all the trouble of switching the truck over to run that engine, when they were 195hp POS smog engines. The 4.0 has more power than the 74 Vette 350's had. Don't tell me you are one of those guys that think corvette engines are hot shit? With the exception of the really rare (EXPENSIVE) engines they are just run of the mill GM stock.

nope not one of those guys. this is a 350 L82 with some fun extras.

350 cubic inch with around 350 hp. id be going for a show truck if i hydrolocked it.

basically the engine was tuned and done up when it was in the corvette. now that the vette needs a new frame, were gona scrap it, keep the engine and buy a zo6.

I'm going to side with half the posters here since I lost my mustang driving through 4 inches of standing water due to flooding.

You hit it trying to get up a slippy/muddy incline with a 2wd, and your airbox is kissing water, its game over.

If you are hell bent, have fun, but seriously, you are going to get stuck ALOT, and it will not be fun IMO.

You could put a Class 3 hitch on it then buy a car trailer and trail beater for less than a grand and don't worry about what happens after that until it happens!!
