what do i have to do to mud prep my truck?

if it sucks water, and you have a MASSIVE horseshoe up your a$s, then maybe you could pull the plugs and everything else and try and get water out of it. The problem is that if the engine pulls water, it tries to compress it, WATER DOES NOT COMPRESS. Thus you usually end up bending rods and messing up everything internally. More often than not a water that sucks water is good for nothing more than a boat anchor.

thats what i was thinking. just have a tow strap from him to me and if its too deep just plug my intake and exhaust, shut it off, and let him pull me through it. the trail is a one lane through the woods.

also for if it sucks water, the first thing id do is pull the plugs and dry it out.

It would be simpler to leave it where it sits than to drag it thru bog dead stick...

Maybe waqe should let him do his thing? It will be hilarious when he hydro locks it and thinks the dealer won't be able to figure it out when they open that engine up. Then someone can get an 06 for CHEAP and do a V-8 swap.

O.P. : you are dumb.

Bring a cameraman/chicka and have them film everything.

Then post on TRS your truck getting stuck in (assuming you are going into literal mud, if you can make it in 2wd then it ain't deep enough or muck enough... but I do live in oregon...) mud up just up to your rim, and the video of your buddies dodge getting stuck trying to drag you through any deep stuff.

On a supportive note, go have fun and don't sink it in water up to the intake. I've never wheeled a 2wd and can't imagine it would be very fun, but if that's all you've wheeled, then I'm sure you'll have a blast.

Throw a crapload of weight in the back too.

until they take out a spark plug and water comes spewing out at them. I dont think you realize how much a hydrolocked motor would suck.....

OO OO, I know how much it sucks, just got my truck back friday after it was off the road for a month and a half, luckily insurance considers hitting a puddle the same as hitting a tree so they covered it

This happens when you hydro lock

Luckily only one did this, it also has 1/4 inch of play in it, so basically buddy it cost 1700 dollars all said and done, I dont reccomend

if i hydro locked it, id be putting a 1974 corvette 350 small block in it. dont get your hopes up on upgrading.

Lol, Hummers. That's a puddle of dirty water. Just close you eyes and floor it.

Ah, you'll be fine then. Just don't go first, and don't always try what the bigger truck tries... You'll end up like this.

Second mudhole of the day (one of the shallowest ones in the area), following a dude on 34's... I can't wait to start building an actual wheelin truck again... At least the winch worked like a champ.
