What did YOU do today?

The 97 definitely does.

You’re right about it staying in continuously and I should fix it.

But, i’m under the hood checking/refilling fluids often enough that I know the fluid level. And, in a few weeks, the truck is going inactive for major overhaul and the brake system is in the schedule. So, I may address the parking brake switch at that time, since I’ll be upside-down under the dash for other wiring stuff.
Car yoga is so much fun...said no one ever

Got the “new” truck in my name & got plates for it, extra keys made & the thermostat arrived today. New fuel filter on & brought in 10 gallons of fresh gas. Its legal to drive now but not safe to drive yet. Need to pull the tires & see if the brake bleeders will loosen. New master cylinder isn’t arriving until monday.

Moved a few things around to see if the F150 would fit on “my” side of the garage. It will, but barely. gonna be easier to work on it outside. Got the bed cleaned out of all the dirt & gravel that was in the bedliner ribs, put the tailgate back on. WOW is a full size ‘gate a lot heavier than a ranger one. The new master cylinder showed up today & it was nice out but its moms birthday weekend so I went there this afternoon, she will be 79 monday. Maybe I can accomplish something tomorrow.

On day #2 of a migraine…

Yesterday went to an estate sale and ended up with some goodies, new potato fork, Icon screwdriver set for $10 (in tray!), some like 4' quick clamps, bucket with some Romex and painting supplies. Then went to brunch with family then went and took my mom's old couches to the transfer station, got some lumber for my brother then rebuilt the back wall of a shed at my moms... then got home and cleaned the shop a bit so I can get the '90 Ranger in there today...

My brother went back to the estate sale this morning and was able to get a nice Husky narrow tool box set for half price, $150, retail $550...

That's a long list. I went by work to test a water line repair, cleaned out my truck, changed oil and door speakers in Brittney's car. Now gonna try to rest some before work at 8 pm.

Colder day today, and windy. still managed to pull all 4 tires from the F150. Start coating the brake bleeders with penetrant in hopes that they loosen & not break off. 3 of the 4 tires dont look bad. “westlake” brand, tire code says 2019. 4rth tire very worn, weathered & old. 2008 date. china brand of some sort.

Yesterday. The door lock buttons on my wife's expedition were not working. I found under the carpet, a splice in the factory harness where the wires coming from the passenger and driver doors are combined into one wire before they go into the smart junction box, the splice was fully corroded. I cut it out for both the lock and unlock circuit and not everything there works fine.

I also found that the resistors for the blower fan was blown out, causing the fan to only work on settings three and four. Ordered a new one of those.

Today it was nice out, so I split about two cords of wood with the log splitter. Helped my neighbor work on his '55 dodge truck a little.
