What did YOU do today?

Edited my earlier post for those not aware of my F-150 condition, lol.

So far I've measured for drywall in the shop, I think I need 13 sheets to do what I can in the rooms of my shop, going to try to do that over thanksgiving weekend, looks like 1/2" drywall is around 55lb/sheet so should be able to get it all in the '97 Ranger... of course that takes some work making supports to get over the wheelwells... will make those tomorrow and pick up the drywall Friday, probably won't get that far until next Friday but hey, gotta start and prepare when you can!

I also did some more cleanup and fired the diesel heater for the first time of the season, worked fine, gotta get more fuel tomorrow, almost out.
Is that for lightweight or ultra light sheets? I prefer using those when I can personally. Also, some areas have a 5/8” requirement for garages for more fire resistance, might want to check on that if you haven’t

Honestly don't know, I just googled drywall weight to see if the Ranger would do it easy enough or not :), currently a camper in the F350 that wouldn't care and the other option would be my Harbor Freight trailer but it's from '13 with stock chinese tires...

It's not directly in the shop, I have OSB on the shop side of the walls for abrasion resistance... one room will technically be a bathroom so should probably use the green stuff there... I'll work on a decision tonight. I've never actually done drywall but in my garage where I sheeted the inside with OSB I've definitely done the fitup work...

Drywall isn’t hard, or at least I don’t think so. The only thing I hate is sanding it before paint, so I learned to be good enough to just need a light sand and wipe down with a damp sponge and ready to paint. Some guys are absolute butchers when it comes to taping and finishing. Don’t use the fiberglass mesh tape, that stuff is miserable to get to finish smooth, use the paper tape. If the bathroom doesn’t have a shower or tub, it doesn’t need green/purple/blue board, but it wouldn’t hurt to have it at least around the floor in case there’s ever a leak. That moisture resistant is more for when people steam bath a bathroom wi5 a hot shower or tub soak

I asked and a coworker that lives not to far from me is willing to haul the drywall since he's DD'ing his long bed dually Dodge at the moment so that's easier... :), all said and done he'll probably be out an hours time so not bad...

Got the main room cleared out and the floor swept in all of the cleaned out areas I have right now. This weekend I think I need to get some primer to paint the raw lightly used plywood I put on the ceiling so I can tape and texture it too...
